Happy 43rd birthday to the amazing Genndy Tartakovsky, co-creator of Sym-Bionic Titan!

This is the man who also brought you Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, and Dexter’s Laboratory! He worked on The Powerpuff Girls as well. He’s one of the best writers out there.

As you probably know by now, my favorite out of the shows he’s worked on is Sym-Bionic Titan. The visuals and story-telling are just perfect, and the story keeps you wanting more and more. The action scenes are just awesome. The main characters are also very likable, and the antagonists are pretty good as well (though it would’ve been nice to see more of Modula).

The above reasons are why I want to see Sym-Bionic Titan get a continuation. It didn’t really get a fair chance on Cartoon Network, getting moved around constantly and not getting a toy-deal. It’s getting a second chance on Adult Swim, so I really want to take this opportunity to really show the network that Sym-Bionic Titan NEEDS a second season right now. Thanks to Toonami, as each week passes, more fans are joining us in this movement. As soon as the current run finishes on Adult Swim, we’ll be planning mail-days and buy an episode days, so look out for those!

Airdates/Episode Count: September 17, 2010 – April 9, 2011/20 episodes

Grade: A

In Brief: Sym-Bionic Titan was a short-lived American animated cartoon created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network, and produced by Orphanage Animation Studios. While originally planned as a long running series, a combination of contract disputes and a lack of a tie-in toyline led to the program unfortunately not being renewed after its initial order of 20 episodes and the project now lies abandoned. The show is a beautifully animated and sharply written mash-up of high school drama and epic robot battles. Featuring a cast of rich and likeable heroes, and creative designs, it is a prime example of everything Western action cartoons can and should strive to be. While certainly not without its flaws, and inconclusive due to said behind the scenes problems, I highly recommend Sym-Bionic Titan.

I don’t see why everyone is getting so hyped up about this clip. Regular Show outright swears, there have been nude scenes in Total Drama, and much, much worse things than a girl shaking her booty on a rated-PG show in an attempt to seduce a boy. Alas, she fails, essentially teaching kids that exploitation is bad, as is seducing robots. But then she falls in love with him for real, after his encouragement and stating that she does not have to heed to the status quo! She can be who she wants to be, not just a dumb cheerleader!

Not to mention, TV shows evolve with modern culture. Society is different, people! Little girls wear bikinis! Boys get horny at 7!

But that’s just me~ \rant over
